Claire St. Amant left her beloved Texas to serve as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ukraine, halfway across the world. When she was finished, she was ready to return to Texas. But what she learned in between--in the classroom of the Peace Corps--were the skills that propelled her success as a reporter, then a producer on the television show 48 Hours, then as a podcast host and producer for Final Days on Earth (a true crime program that has us hooked), and now as an author. This week: From Texas to Tysmenytsya and back to Texas.

Investigative journalist Claire St. Amant developed and produced crime stories for CBS News for nearly a decade. She is credited on over 20 episodes of 48 Hours, and in 2019, she began contributing to 60 Minutes. She built her unconventional career one story at a time, rising up through local media to national television and her own network podcast, Final Days on Earth with Claire St. Amant. Her 2025 memoir, Killer Story: The Truth Behind True Crime Television, is an inside look at the real-life drama of working in true crime. St. Amant is currently executive producing a docuseries about serial killers for Warner Brothers Discovery and is a visiting professor at Baylor University.  To learn more about Claire St. Amant please go to her website HERE.
